So .. what’s this Play Away event all about?
It's a one year since the start of Bloop Groop - we’ve got a solid gang coming together and supporting each other and having fun - with new people coming every month, creative collabs and new friendship forming, it’s changing lives! We wanted to do something to celebrate, so Caroline, Gary and Gint hit on putting on a show, everyone’s invited to see what we’re up to: Bloop Groop celebrates 1 year of Bloops with an all-hardware, collab-fuelled showcase showdown of the finest Bloopers available to humanity. We’re deciding the lineup as we speak but there will be banging techno, jazzy house, ambient beats and much more.
Why are is ticketed? Sure, Bloop Groop is normally free in, we take donations - but this gig is more expensive to host, we’re paying more for the venue and we have other costs around personnel and gear. So we decided to make it a ticketed event: anyone involved in organisation or playing on the day doesn't have to buy a ticket, but everyone else does.

What about the The Digital Hub, and the regular meet? We'll be back in The Digital Hub in December for our regular monthly meet up where heads bring gear and HANG JAM PLAY.
Why The Playground? Many of our original members live in and around Dublin 12, and there's a real thriving scene of authentic grassroots community and arts in this very special city suburb. The Playground is a great venue doing something unique and vibrant, and we wanted this special event to be in a community-led space, not a standard pub or a club, so we could celebrate together in the True Spirit of Bloop.
Is there just one room of music? No, there's in other areas to hang out. There's a place with sofas, there's a little coffee dock. So there'll be places to be away from the music for chats also. Bring food, bring beer. It’ll be class.
